Election season is coming up! Hopefully we’re all getting ready to exercise our democratic right to select who represents us. SAIL is here to make sure you have all of the information you need to be a prepared and informed voter.
SAIL Member Gail Bliss, who volunteers with the League of Women Voters, shared a very helpful flyer that details acceptable IDs to show at the polling place, as well as information on Absentee voting. There is also an option to obtain a free Voter ID for those who may not have a valid ID and are U.S. citizens. You can view or download and print the flyer here. If you’d like a copy mailed to you, please contact the SAIL office at 608-230-4321. Thank you, Gail, for this helpful information!
Additionally, you can sign up to receive notifications about upcoming elections, check your registration status, request an absentee ballot, and more at https://www.vote.org/state/wisconsin/.
Finally, if you’d like to preview your ballot before you go to the polling place, visit https://myvote.wi.gov/en-US/PreviewMyBallot and enter your address. The individuals and issues on your ballot will be listed so you can learn more and do a little research before you head to your polling place. If you’re not sure where your polling place is, you can also find it on the site.
Please let SAIL know if you need any assistance with voting, ID, finding your polling place, or anything else. We can be reached during business hours at 608-230-4321 or info@sailtoday.org.
Happy voting!
